Introduction

AirWave is an internet radio app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and CarPlay. Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how AirWave handles your information — or, more accurately, how it doesn't. We believe the best data policy is to simply not collect data in the first place.

No Data Collection

AirWave does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal data. Specifically:

  • No personal information — We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
  • No usage data — We do not track how you use the app, which stations you listen to, or how often you use AirWave.
  • No analytics or tracking — AirWave contains no analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that monitor your behavior.
  • No location data — We do not access or store your location.
  • No device identifiers — We do not read or store device IDs, advertising identifiers, or hardware information.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

AirWave stores your preferences (such as favorite stations, sleep timer settings, and display preferences) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. If you delete the app, this data is removed.

Network Connections

AirWave connects to the internet solely to stream radio stations. These connections go directly from your device to the radio station's streaming server. We do not operate or route these connections through our own servers. We have no visibility into your listening activity.

Third-Party Services

AirWave does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no third-party SDKs embedded in the app that monitor your behavior.

AirWave includes an optional Last.fm scrobbling feature. This feature is entirely opt-in — it is disabled by default and only activates when you explicitly connect your Last.fm account in the app's settings. When enabled, AirWave sends track information (artist name and track title) to Last.fm on your behalf. No data is shared with Last.fm unless you choose to enable this feature. You can disconnect your Last.fm account at any time in the app's settings.

Children's Privacy

Since AirWave does not collect any data from any user, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page. Our core commitment remains the same: AirWave does not collect your data.
